Religion and Science at Schools – debate on the Beyond Belief Radio 4 Programme

The ‘battle’ between science and religion has been going on since Darwin’s ‘The Origin of Species’. However, it has not always been the case – science was for centuries designed to aid understanding of God rather than the world. The Enlightment changed all that. Nowadays the religion and science are taught separately and seem far apart. Are they really incompatible? Would teaching them together enrich the understanding how they link together and help children answer Big Questions of Life?

Berry Billingsley has recently debated on that topic with Ruth Wareham , Miles MacBean and Ernie Rea in the ‘Beyond Belief’, BBC Radio 4 Programme recorded on 4th January.
