We have been working with four scientists and public engagement professionals in our first co-creation sessions to develop resources showcasing the work of scientists at Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire. It has been fascinating to understanding how the use of light (in Diamond’s synchrotron) is informing our thinking about the nature of world around us (and within us). We have been exploring colour at the molecular level, investigating the Tudor ship ‘Mary Rose’, considering approaches to create/store/use energy sustainably, and considering what it is like to find that answering some questions through research opens new questions.
We are looking for primary teachers to participate in our next online co-creation session (late January/early February), with the opportunity to pilot lesson resources and activities in their classrooms.
